Our Story

Studio Daydream started with a bad pun and a drawing tablet. It has grown into something broader since.

We make wall art for the rooms you actually live in - the kitchen where the kettle is always half-boiled, the corner of the office where you hide with a coffee, the patch of wall by the door that has been empty for two years.

Everything comes in sixes

Every design we make is a themed collection of six. Sometimes that means one illustration in six colourways, so you can match the room rather than work around it. Sometimes it means six different designs on a single theme - six art-deco camels, six views of Dubai, six ways of looking at the same idea.

Some collections are jokes. Olive you. You're my jam. I like you a latte. Others are not: a Burj Khalifa drawn as a Japanese woodblock, the Palm rendered as an architect's blueprint, a spice souk laid out like a Victorian botanical plate.

What holds them together isn't a single style. It's that each one is a complete idea with six ways in, and that we would happily hang any of them ourselves.

Made to order, never warehoused

Our studio is in Dubai and we ship worldwide. Nothing here is printed until you order it - each piece is produced on demand at a print partner close to your delivery address, which means less waste, no boxes of unsold stock, shorter delivery distances, and a print that has been handled by fewer people before it reaches your wall.

Posters come on premium semi-glossy paper in sizes from A4 up to A1. Canvases are gallery wrapped over FSC-certified wood. Acrylic panels have a high-gloss face that floats a little off the wall, and metal prints go onto brushed aluminium, matte and glare-free.

A small studio

There is no call centre here. When you email us, a person from the studio reads it and replies - usually within a business day or two, occasionally with an unsolicited opinion about which colourway you should have picked.

If something arrives less than perfect, tell us and we'll make it right.

Questions and answers

Sizes and formats

What sizes do the posters come in?
A4, A3, A2 and A1. A4 is roughly the size of a sheet of printer paper; A1 is the big statement piece. If you're unsure, our size guide shows what each one actually looks like on a wall.

What's the difference between a poster, a canvas, an acrylic and a metal print?
A poster is the print on its own - you choose the frame, which is the cheapest route and lets you match your room. A canvas is printed on textured canvas and gallery wrapped over FSC-certified wood, with no glass, for a softer presence. An acrylic is a 4 mm sheet of acrylic glass with the image behind it, so the colours read deeper and the surface has a wet gloss. A metal print goes straight onto brushed aluminium, matte and glare-free, so the image sits flush with the surface.

Is a frame included with the posters?
No. Any frame you see in a poster listing's room photos is there to show scale and styling only - it isn't part of what you receive. If you would rather it arrived ready to hang, take the same design as a canvas, an acrylic panel or a metal print.

Do canvases come ready to hang?
Yes. They arrive gallery wrapped on FSC-certified wood with the hanging kit fitted. Acrylic and metal prints come with their fixings too.

Colours and designs

How is the artwork made?
Every design is illustrated digitally in a soft watercolour style, then set on its cabana stripe or linen wash. That's how we can offer the same design in six colourways without the colour ever looking pasted on.

Why six colourways?
So you can match your room rather than the other way round, and so a pair or trio can be collected without clashing. Every design comes in Positano Pink, Amalfi Aqua, Tuscan Taupe, Limoncello, Cabana Green and Capri Violet.

Will the colour look exactly like it does on my screen?
Very close, but not identical. Screens emit light and paper reflects it, so there's always a small shift. Slight variation is normal and isn't a fault.

Ordering and delivery

How long until it arrives?
Each piece is printed to order, so allow a couple of business days for production before it ships. Delivery time then depends on where you are - you'll see the available options and their costs at checkout before you pay, and you'll get tracking by email once it's on its way.

Where do you ship?
Worldwide. Our studio is in Dubai, and because we print on demand through a global network of partners, your order is produced at the facility nearest to your delivery address, which keeps the shipping leg short wherever you are.

Will I pay customs or import duty?
Usually not, because most orders are produced inside the destination market. Where an order does cross a border, any duties or import taxes are set by the destination country and are the recipient's responsibility.

Can I change or cancel my order?
Email us as fast as you can. If it hasn't gone into production yet we can usually still catch it. Once printing has started we can't stop it - everything is made individually for you.

Problems and returns

It arrived damaged or wrong.
Email hello@studiodaydreamhq.com within 10 days of delivery with your order number and a photo. We'll replace it free of charge and you won't need to send anything back.

Can I return it because I changed my mind?
Because every print is made to order, we can't take returns for change of mind or a wrong size or colour choice. Please double-check your selections before ordering - and if you're torn, email us first. We're happy to help you decide.

Still stuck?
